Where will this event be taking place?

Who is this event for?

Process safety professionals and practitioners / Regulators and policy makers / Researchers and academics / Students and young professionals and Anyone who is interested or curious about process safety and loss prevention is welcome to attend as well.

Everyone can benefit from learning the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in process safety, loss prevention, human factors, safety culture etc.

I have submitted an abstract on the relevant topic to be presented during the conference day. Do I have to submit a full paper for publication?

If you are only interested in presenting and sharing your topic without publication, you are not required to submit your full paper.​

Since the full paper submission is not required for me, what is the next step?

Well, as a presenter, you only need to prepare the slide presentation for the conference day. This is required for all presenters.

How many slides should I prepare for the conference? How long should the presentation be?

There are no specific limits for the number of slides. For your information, the duration of the presentation will be 15 minutes, including the Q&A session. It is recommended to craft the presentation slides so that they can be presented for about 10-12 minutes. The remaining 3-5 minutes will be open for any questions from the audience.

Where can I access my presentation slide template?

An email entitled “LPA2023: PowerPoint Presentation Guidelines for Paper Presenter” has been sent to all registered presenters. The presentation slide template is attached, together with the relevant guidelines in the email. Once you have finished preparing the slides and converting them to pdf format, submit the slide via the dedicated submission link (labeled as LPA 2023 Call for Papers Portal) which is also attached in the email.

When is the final deadline for me to submit my slide?

Please submit the slide presentation in the pdf format by 23rd July 2023.

What if I would like to publish my paper? What should I do? And will the publication be indexed?

You should submit your full paper by the deadline. Technical committee member will review your paper and notify you if it is accepted for selected publication. You may also need to revise your paper according to their feedback and formatting guidelines. The selected paper will be published in Process Safety Progress Journal published by WILEY (IF 1.294, Q4 (JCR) – Scopus Indexed) subjected to amendment from the review process.
