Dr. Azizul Buang is a senior lecturer at Chemical Engineering Department, UTP teaching process safety courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Currently, he is the Programme Manager for MSc Process Safety programme of UTP. Before joining UTP, Dr Azizul was a process engineer at Multisafe Sdn Bhd – a medical glove manufacturing plant. He has a strong interest in process & occupational safety and wastewater treatment technology. He is currently one of the Committee Member of the National Management Committee in IECEx (Explosive Atmosphere) Malaysia for the term of 2015-2017. Dr Azizul current research is on dust explosion and storage tank fire hazard management specifically in the topics of analysing the temperature profile in the burning liquid hydrocarbon and predicting boilover phenomenon in storage tank fire.
