Recently, we have a guest in CAPS Office. Prof Faisal Khan is a Professor and Canada Research Chair (Tier I) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He is also a member of Oil and Gas Engineering Board of Studies at Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada and a visiting professor at Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania, Australia.
He founded the Centre for Risk, Integrity, and Risk Engineering (C-RISE) with 40+ team members including academics, research engineers, and graduate students who are doing research on a wide range of theoretical and applied research activities mainly related to process safety and asset integrity management.
He conducted a series of lectures while in UTP such as:
1. Dynamic Risk Assessment and Management
2. Safety and Risk Fundamentals and Applications – Industry Perspective
3. Data Driven Methods of Risk Assessment and Management.
He was also able to attend the 1st Executive Steering Committee for Loss Prevention Asia 2019 that will be organized by CAPS on 25-26 November 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
